Forgetting to rinse one’s mouth in bathing

Forgetting to rinse one’s mouth in bathing

Question:

What is the ruling if a person forgets to rinse his mouth or pass water into his nostrils during taking a bath? Does he have to repeat the whole bath again?

Answer:

الجواب باسم ملهم الصواب

  • It is not necessary to repeat the whole process of bathing again. Just rinsing the mouth or passing water into the nostrils, as soon as he remembers, will be sufficient.
  • If the person had performed any obligatory Salah with the previous bath, he must also repeat it after rinsing or passing water.

Only Allah knows best.
