Question:
Recently, when I was purifying myself after using the toilet at a masjid, some of the water from the outer part of the water vessel (toilet lota) fell on my clothes. I am wondering whether my clothes have become impure due to this, as there is a possibility that someone might have urinated whilst standing and some urine drops have fallen on the floor.

The default Shariah principle is that: “Belief is not removed by mere doubts”. This means that, for example, if a person has not seen any impurity on the water, it will be considered to be PURE.

Therefore, mere possibility of someone urinating on the toilet floor without clear evidence for that will not make the water impure, as this would lead to various difficulties in practising upon the religion.
- On the basis of this, it is safe to state that your clothes did not become impure. Therefore, you are not required to repeat any of your Salahs performed with those clothes.

قال في البريقة المحمودية في شرح الطريقة المحمدية (ج: 4، ص 244)
(وطين الشوارع) قال في الأشباه: شك في وجود النجس فالأصل بقاء الطاهرية، ولذا قال محمد: حوض تملأ منه الصغار والعبيد بالأيدي الدنسة والجرار الوسخة يجوز الوضوء منه ما لم يعلم به نجاسة؛ ولذا أفتوا بطهارة طين الطرقات، ولا يخفى أن ظاهره الجواز بلا كراهة. وفي شرح الحموي والصحيح أن طين الشوارع إن كانت فيه النجاسة فنجس وإلا فلا كما في السراج، وفي البزازية مشى في الطين وأصابه لا يجب في الحكم غسله ما لم يتبين أثر النجاسة، والاحتياط في الصلاة غسله ويشير إلى ذلك قوله (إذا لم ير فيه عين النجاسة ولا أثرها…)
